Drug Free Task Force
The members of this group work on decreasing drug availability (alcohol, tobacco and marijuana), perceptions of availability, regulations of alcohol and drugs, and change norms related to drug-use or availability.
This Task Force is currently focusing efforts on the Cazenovia Community. More details will follow shortly!

Aligning Resources with Teens (ART) has combined with the Youth Development Committee
This group works on changing suicidal thoughts, decreasing bullying and threats of violence among youth, as well as increasing chances for youth to feel tied to their community.

Summary for meeting March 8, 2007- Morrisville-Eaton youth presented information from their recent survey of 166 of their peers as to what youth would like to see for activities in Morrisville. Aaron Strong of the Morrisville Library also talked about the Library's Founding Committee that will focus on a coffeehouse next door to the Library and some programming geared towards the community.
Summary for meeting January 17, 2007 - Discussed Project Cafe and similar idea for the Morrisville community. Ideas were presented from both Morrisville-Eaton youth and from youth involved in the Cazenovia Project Cafe group. A survey is being conducted in the Morrisville-Eaton school district to see how much interest there would be in a coffeehouse in downtown Morrisville.

MCP Executive Committee
Executive Committee meets monthly. This is a group comprised of task force and committee chairs, as well as a chair, member at large and a secretary. We especially encourage youth, residents of the county, parents, business owners, and local legislators to become involved.

The Community Board meets quarterly, and the members are generally members of the task forces, as well as other community members. They vote and have a say in issues regarding the direction of the coalition.
